going to — Pläne und Absichten
am / is / are + going to + Verb. Für bereits Entschiedenes und wenn man sieht, dass etwas gleich passiert.
I'm going to study medicine.Ich werde Medizin studieren (Plan).
Look at the clouds! It's going to rain.Schau dir die Wolken an! Es wird regnen.
will — spontane Entscheidungen und Vorhersagen
will + Verb. Für Entscheidungen im Moment, Versprechen, Angebote und Vermutungen (I think…).
The phone is ringing. — I'll answer it.Das Telefon klingelt. — Ich gehe ran.
I'll help you with your bags.Ich helfe dir mit den Taschen.
I think it will be a great party.Ich glaube, es wird eine tolle Party.
Tipp: Die Verneinung von will ist won't: I won't tell anyone.
