am / is / are + going to + verb. For things we have already decided, and when we can see something is about to happen.

will — spontaneous decisions and predictions
will + verb. For decisions made at the moment of speaking, promises, offers and opinions about the future (I think…).
The phone is ringing. — I'll answer it.decision now

I think it will be a great party.an opinion
Tip: The negative of will is won't: I won't tell anyone.
