Past Perfect & Future Forms
Past Perfect, Future Continuous and Future Perfect.
Past Perfect
had + past participle. An action that happened BEFORE another past action.
When I arrived, the film had already started.
She had never flown before that trip.
Future Continuous
will be + -ing. An action in progress at a certain time in the future.
This time tomorrow I'll be lying on the beach.
Don't call at 8 — we'll be having dinner.
Future Perfect
will have + past participle. An action that will be FINISHED by a time in the future. Often with by.
By 2030, I will have finished my studies.
They'll have left by the time we arrive.
Tip: by = not later than; until = up to that time (the action continues).
