First & Second Conditional
Real (If it rains…) and unreal situations (If I won the lottery…).
First Conditional — real
If + Present Simple, will + verb. For real, possible situations in the future.
If it rains, we'll stay at home.
If you study, you'll pass the exam.
Second Conditional — unreal
If + Past Simple, would + verb. For imaginary or unlikely situations.
If I won the lottery, I would travel the world.
If I were you, I'd take the job.giving advice
Tip: Never use will or would in the if-part: “If it will rain” ✗ → “If it rains” ✓.
