Present Continuous
Actions happening right now and fixed plans for the future.
How do we form it?
am / is / are + verb + -ing: work → working, write → writing (drop the e), swim → swimming (double the consonant).
I am reading.
She is cooking dinner.
They aren't listening.
Right now
For things happening at the moment of speaking. Often with now, right now, at the moment, Look!, Listen!
Look! It's raining.
What are you doing now?
Future plans
We also use it for arranged plans, usually with a time (tomorrow, on Friday).
I'm meeting Ana tomorrow.a fixed plan
We're flying to London on Friday.
Tip: Present Simple = always / usually (I work every day). Present Continuous = now / temporary (I'm working now).
