When do we use it?
We use the Present Simple for habits and routines, general facts and timetables.
I drink coffee every morning.habit
Water boils at 100 degrees.general fact
The train leaves at 8 o'clock.timetable
How do we form it?
With I / you / we / they the verb stays the same. With he / she / it we add -s or -es (go → goes, watch → watches, study → studies).
They work in London.
She works in London.she → works (+s)
Negatives and questions
We use the auxiliary do / does. After does, the main verb loses its -s.
He doesn't like fish.
Do you speak English?
Does she live here?
Tip: Common mistake: 'He don't…' — the correct form is 'He doesn't…'.
